Fees and burns
Where the money goes
Every coin on PlanetPad is a pump.fun coin paired with SPCX. Its creator fees are split on chain, and the split is locked when the coin launches. Launching buys and burns a coin first. Every number on this page is read live from the settings in force.
The three splits
A coin that has launched keeps the split it locked: nothing can change it.
A satellite
Your own coin, in orbit of a planet.
A planet coin
Minted once, by a user.
SUNCOIN
The platform coin, the Sun.
The split applies to pump.fun's creator fees, the part of every trade's fee that pump.fun assigns to a coin's creator. pump.fun's own trading fee is separate and is pump.fun's.
What a launch buys and burns
| Planet | Mint burns | Satellite burns | Burned so far |

- One approval in Phantom, paid from your SOL. You do not need to hold SUNCOIN, a planet coin or SPCX first. The buy and burn is sent first; the launch only after the burn is read back from the chain.
- The cost is fixed in dollars. The number of coins follows the price, a 20 minute average. A quote stands 60 seconds; if the coin fell more than 1% since the quote, nothing is sent and the page quotes again. The buy refuses itself more than 3% over its quote.
- Burn credit. The burn and the launch are separate transactions. If the launch fails after the burn landed, the burn is kept as credit for the same wallet: the next try needs no new burn. Credit is per coin, so Mars coin credit pays for a satellite on Mars.
- Other costs of a launch. pump.fun's create cost and the one-time fee split setup (0.03 SOL goes to a one-time wallet that locks the split), plus network fees. The launcher shows the total against your balance before you approve.
Hourly payouts
- Holders are paid every hour, in SPCX, in proportion to coins held: a satellite's holders from that satellite's share, a planet coin's holders from that coin's share, SUNCOIN holders from SUNCOIN's.
- Creators and minters are paid straight to their wallets whenever a coin's fees are moved along its split.
- Preview. Hourly payouts to holders are not switched on yet. The job computes and records what it would pay each hour and sends nothing. Pages show the word Preview until that changes.
- Live. Hourly payouts to holders are switched on.
- Buybacks are in Preview. The shares that buy back and burn a planet's coin or SUNCOIN collect in their wallets. Every hour the job works out what each wallet would buy and burn, records it, and sends nothing. Nothing has been bought back or burned, and the site never says that something was bought back before it was.
- Buybacks are live. Every hour each buyback wallet buys its own coin with the SPCX it holds, on that coin's pump.fun curve or pool, and burns what it bought in the same transaction. The price it pays is capped; a wallet holding very little waits for the next hour. A planet that is not minted has no coin to buy, so its share accrues.
- Liquidity pools and the bonding curve are never counted as holders. Nor are burn addresses, fee vaults or PlanetPad's own wallets. A holder is a wallet.
No amount is promised. Fees exist only while people trade a coin.
Sunlight
Sunlight is one pool, paid every 2 hours to the top 50 holders of the top 3 coins, split evenly. Watch it fill and see who is in the running.
- 20% of SUNCOIN's creator fees and 10% of every planet coin's creator fees flow into the Sunlight pool, in SPCX.
- Every 2 hours, at fixed times (00:00, 02:00, 04:00 UTC and so on), the top 3 coins of that window win: satellites and planet coins, scored on volume (capped per wallet), new holders and market cap. A coin needs at least 25 holders and $250 of volume in the window.
- The pot is split evenly between the 3 winners, and each winner's share is split evenly between its top 50 holders, paid in SPCX straight to their wallets.
- Liquidity pools and the bonding curve are never counted as holders. If fewer than 3 coins qualify, the unawarded share stays in the pool for the next window.
Preview. Sunlight payouts are not switched on yet. Every window is worked out and recorded as it would be paid, and nothing is sent.
Live. Sunlight is paid every 2 hours, in SPCX, straight to the winning holders' wallets.
No Sunlight amount is promised either: the pool holds only what fees have brought in.
Who holds the wallets
The wallets that hold fee shares before they are paid out (buyback wallets, the Sunlight pool, the SUNCOIN holders pool, each coin's holder rewards wallet) are PlanetPad's own. Creators and minters are paid straight to their own wallets.
Platform wallets are held in Privy; PlanetPad's server holds no wallet keys. The buyback wallets, the pools, the holding wallet, gas and every coin's rewards wallet are Privy wallets: the server asks Privy to sign and never stores a key.
The pair
SPCX is issued by Backpack Securities, not by PlanetPad. The issuer can freeze an SPCX account, pause all SPCX transfers, and move or burn balances. While SPCX is frozen or paused, SPCX-paired coins cannot be bought or sold.
