Legal
Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of PlanetPad. Please read them before you connect a wallet, launch a satellite or trade.
PlanetPad is operated by [OPERATOR: legal entity name], [OPERATOR: registered address] ("PlanetPad", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1What PlanetPad is
PlanetPad is an interface for launching and trading pump.fun coins on the Solana blockchain. A coin launched through PlanetPad is called a satellite: it is your own coin, with the name, ticker and picture you choose, and PlanetPad shows it in orbit of one of nine planets (the eight planets and Pluto) that you pick. The Sun stands for SUNCOIN, the platform coin; nothing can be launched in orbit of it and it cannot be minted. The Moon is shown on the map as scenery. A planet is not a satellite. Each of the nine planets has a planet coin that a user may mint once (section 5). Launching a satellite buys and burns an amount of the coin of the planet it orbits, minting a planet coin buys and burns SUNCOIN (section 5), and nothing can be launched until SUNCOIN is live. Our catalog also holds other bodies, which may be offered later. Every coin is launched paired with SPCX, a tokenized stock issued by a third party (section 10).
- We do not custody your funds. PlanetPad never holds your SOL, your SPCX, your coins or your private keys. The wallets that receive creator fees under section 9 are ours to operate and do not hold your funds.
- You sign everything. Launches and trades are transactions signed by your own Phantom wallet and sent to the Solana network. We cannot sign for you, reverse a transaction or recover a lost wallet.
- The coins live on pump.fun and Solana, not on PlanetPad. A coin launched here is an ordinary pump.fun coin. It exists on chain whether or not our site is online.
- PlanetPad is not an exchange, broker, custodian, investment adviser or bank, and it is not affiliated with pump.fun, Phantom, Jupiter, Backpack Securities, SpaceX or any space agency or astronomical body.
2Who may use it
You may use PlanetPad only if all of the following are true:
- You are at least [OPERATOR: minimum age] years old and able to enter a binding agreement.
- You are not located in, resident in or organised under the laws of [OPERATOR: restricted jurisdictions], and you are not a person with whom dealings are prohibited under applicable sanctions.
- Launching and trading crypto tokens is lawful where you are. You alone are responsible for knowing and following the laws and taxes that apply to you.
You must not use a VPN or other means to get around these restrictions.
3Your wallet and sign-in
You sign in by connecting a Phantom wallet and signing a message. Our server verifies that signature and starts a session. The signature proves you control the wallet. It does not move funds and does not give us permission to spend anything.
You are responsible for your wallet, your seed phrase and every transaction signed with it. We will never ask for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who asks for them in our name is not us.
4Risk and no advice
Memecoins are extremely risky. A coin can lose all of its value, quickly and for good. Only use money you can afford to lose completely.
- Nothing on PlanetPad is investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Levels, ranks, scores, regions, charts and any other figure are information and game mechanics, not recommendations.
- We make no promise that any coin will hold or gain value, find buyers, or stay tradable.
- Fee shares, hourly rewards and Sunlight are not guaranteed, in amount or in timing, and rewards may be paused (sections 8 and 9). SUNCOIN does not exist yet, and buybacks and Sunlight payouts are not switched on.
- Prices are volatile and liquidity can vanish. Transactions can fail, be delayed, or execute at a worse price than expected.
- Blockchain transactions are final. A mistake cannot be undone by us or by anyone else.
- Coins are created by other users. We do not vet creators and do not endorse any coin.
- Every coin launched here is paired with SPCX, a token issued and controlled by a third party. Its issuer can freeze, pause, move or burn it, and its price moves by itself. Section 10 sets out those risks. A coin launched here is not a share in SpaceX or in any company.
- Software, smart contracts, wallets and networks can have bugs or be attacked.
5Satellites and planets
- A satellite is your coin. You choose its name, ticker, picture and description. You are responsible for them (sections 6 and 11).
- You pick the planet it orbits. Each satellite is shown as orbiting one of the nine planets, chosen by its launcher at launch. The Sun and the Moon cannot be chosen. The choice cannot be changed afterwards. It also decides which planet's minter and which planet's buyback wallet receive their shares under section 9.
- The link to a planet is PlanetPad's record, not an on-chain pairing. Which planet a satellite orbits is stored in PlanetPad's own database and shown in our interface. Nothing on the blockchain ties a coin to a planet, the coin is not paired with a planet, and the link gives no right in, or claim on, the planet, its name, its wallet or anything else. If PlanetPad stops, the link stops being shown.
- A wallet may launch any number of satellites, in orbit of the same planet or of different ones. Any number of satellites may orbit a planet. Ordinary rate limits apply.
- Showing a planet is not an offer. Showing a planet or the Moon, with its real facts and a button to launch a satellite or to mint the planet's coin, is not an offer of anything. The real celestial bodies cannot be bought or owned through PlanetPad.
- A satellite can only orbit a minted planet. If nobody has minted a planet's coin, that planet cannot be chosen.
- Pair and fee split are fixed. Each satellite is launched paired with SPCX (section 10) and with the fee split described in section 9. You cannot change them, and they are final once the coin exists on chain.
- A satellite's place on the map, its rank and its level are game mechanics (section 7). They are not tokens, titles or property rights.
- pump.fun coin metadata (name, ticker, image) cannot be changed after launch. Check it before you sign.
The burn, and minting a planet.
- Launches are closed until SUNCOIN is live. SUNCOIN, the platform coin, has not been launched. Until it has, no satellite and no planet coin can be launched through PlanetPad. We make no promise about when, or whether, that will be.
- Launching requires a buy and burn. To launch a satellite, an amount of the coin of the planet it orbits is bought and burned. To mint a planet coin, an amount of SUNCOIN is bought and burned. The cost is set by us in US dollars (for a planet coin, per planet), is shown before you sign, and may be changed for later launches. The number of coins depends on the price of the coin that is burned at the time, as we calculate it, and that calculation can be late or wrong.
- You pay for it in SOL, with one approval. You do not need to hold the coin beforehand. With one approval in your wallet you sign two or three transactions, which our server sends in order. The first swaps your SOL to SPCX through Jupiter, buys the coins on pump.fun and burns them from your own token account. The launch is sent only after we have read that burn back from the chain. The coins are bought at the market price at that moment, up to the slippage limit shown on the site (currently 3%), and pump.fun's and Jupiter's own fees apply. Small amounts of SPCX left over stay in your wallet. If your wallet already holds enough of the coin, its own coins are burned instead.
- The burn and the launch are separate transactions. They are not carried out as one. The burn can land and the launch can then fail, be delayed or not be sent.
- A burn is permanent and irreversible. Burned coins are destroyed on chain. We cannot return, refund or replace them, or the SOL spent to buy them, whatever happens afterwards, including if the coin you launch loses all value, is hidden under section 14, or the site stops.
- Credit after a failed launch. If a burn made through PlanetPad's launch flow lands and the launch it was for does not, we record the unused amount as a credit for the same wallet, to be set against that wallet's next launch that burns the same coin. SUNCOIN credit counts only toward minting a planet, and credit in a planet's coin counts only toward a satellite of that planet. Credit is a record in our systems. It is not a token, has no cash value, cannot be withdrawn or transferred to another wallet, and is lost if PlanetPad stops. No credit is given for coins burned in any other way.
- Minting a planet. Each of the nine planets has one ready-made coin, with a fixed name, ticker and picture. The first wallet to mint it launches that coin on pump.fun. A planet can be minted once; a hold placed before minting lasts a limited time and guarantees nothing. The Sun cannot be minted.
- Minting gives no ownership. Minting a planet coin gives you no ownership of, or right in, the planet, its name, its picture, its wallets or the satellites that orbit it. You are shown as the wallet that minted it. The minting wallet is assigned a share of creator fees under section 9; that share is earned only while trading happens and no amount is promised.
- A planet coin is an ordinary pump.fun coin paired with SPCX. Every risk in sections 4 and 10 applies to it.
6Names and coin art
Names. Body names are real astronomical names taken from public catalogs. Launching a satellite in orbit of a body gives you no rights in the body's name and no rights, ownership or interest in the real celestial object. A satellite's own name and ticker are chosen by its launcher; PlanetPad does not check them for uniqueness and anyone remains free to use the same name elsewhere.
Art. A satellite's picture is uploaded by its launcher, who confirms they have the right to use it and gives us permission to display it, including inside the satellite drawn on the map and on share cards. The image of each body is generated by PlanetPad. Where a real map of the body exists the image is made from it: public domain imagery from NASA, JPL-Caltech and USGS, and maps from Solar System Scope used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. Those sources keep their own terms and do not endorse PlanetPad or any coin. We license it to the coin's creator and holders for use with that coin, for example as the coin's image and in posts about it. We keep all other rights. If you upload your own image or text instead, you confirm you have the right to use it and you give us permission to display it.
7Game mechanics
Levels, a planet's development, orbits (one-hour seasons, with a rolling 24 hour board), scores, ranks and the standings of satellites and of planets are game mechanics. We compute them from on-chain trades and holder data that we index ourselves.
- They can be wrong or late if our index, an RPC provider or the network has problems.
- We may change the rules, weights, thresholds, caps, season length and regions at any time, and we may correct results we believe were produced by error or abuse.
- They carry no monetary value by themselves and give you no claim against us.
8Sunlight
Sunlight payouts are not switched on. Nothing is paid from the pool today, and no payment from it is promised.
Sunlight is a pool, held in a wallet we operate, that receives a share of the creator fees of planet coins and of SUNCOIN (section 9). When it is switched on it is paid every 2 hours to the top 50 holders of the top 3 coins, split evenly.
- 20% of SUNCOIN's creator fees and 10% of every planet coin's creator fees flow into the Sunlight pool, in SPCX.
- Every 2 hours, at fixed times (00:00, 02:00, 04:00 UTC and so on), the top 3 coins of that window win: satellites and planet coins, scored on volume (capped per wallet), new holders and market cap. A coin needs at least 25 holders and $250 of volume in the window.
- The pot is split evenly between the 3 winners, and each winner's share is split evenly between its top 50 holders, paid in SPCX straight to their wallets.
- Liquidity pools and the bonding curve are never counted as holders. If fewer than 3 coins qualify, the unawarded share stays in the pool for the next window.
- The rule can change. How often it pays, how many coins and holders are paid, the minimum a coin needs to qualify and how the pot is shared are settings we may change at any time, for windows that have not closed. The site shows the settings in force.
- Who is a holder. Holders are read from the blockchain at the payout. Liquidity pools and the bonding curve are never counted as holders, and neither are burn addresses, fee vaults, our own wallets or any address that is not a wallet. We may exclude addresses we believe are gaming the pool.
- Sunlight is a discretionary platform operation. It is a feature of the site. It is not a prize we owe, not a debt, not interest and not a return on an investment. No amount and no schedule is guaranteed. We may pause, change or stop it at any time and without notice.
- A figure on the site is not a promise. A pool balance, a named leader or an estimate of what a wallet "would receive" creates no entitlement for any coin, creator or holder. Standings change until a window closes.
- It depends on SPCX and on standings. It is paid in SPCX (section 10), following standings that can be wrong or late and that we may correct (section 7). A payment that cannot be delivered stays in the pool. Gaming standings to win it is prohibited (section 13).
Earlier versions of PlanetPad described an orbit pot, planet pots and a Solar pool. Those designs are not in use, and no entitlement arises from any pot figure or estimate that an earlier version of the site may have shown.
9Fees, the fee split and hourly rewards
- pump.fun fees. pump.fun charges its own protocol fees and creator fees on launches and trades. They are set by pump.fun and can change without notice from us. On a coin paired with SPCX they are charged in SPCX.
- Network fees. Solana charges network fees and rent on transactions and accounts.
- Swap costs. If you pay in SOL, your SOL is swapped to SPCX through Jupiter (and back when you sell for SOL). A launch also swaps SOL to SPCX, for the coins that are burned and for any first buy. The swap has its own price, slippage and fees, set by Jupiter and the markets it routes through.
- The burn. Launching a satellite buys and burns its planet's coin, and minting a planet coin buys and burns SUNCOIN, both paid from your SOL (section 5). It is permanent.
- Setting the fee split. A launch sends 0.03 SOL from your wallet to a one-time wallet that pays for setting the fee split below and for moving fees later. It is not refunded.
- PlanetPad charges [OPERATOR: any other platform fee, or "no other fee"].
The fee splits. When a coin is launched through PlanetPad, its creator fees are assigned as follows, and you are shown this before you sign. [OPERATOR: confirm the fee tables]
A satellite: 5% to its planet's minter, 25% buys back and burns its planet's coin, 5% platform, 5% buys back and burns SUNCOIN, 20% to the satellite's creator, 40% to this satellite's holders. Paid hourly. Locked at launch.
A planet coin: 30% buys back and burns SUNCOIN, 15% to its planet's minter, 5% platform, 40% to its planet's coin's holders, 10% Sunlight. Paid hourly. Locked at launch.
SUNCOIN, if it is launched through PlanetPad: 50% to SUNCOIN holders, 30% platform, 20% Sunlight. Paid hourly. Locked at launch.
- The creator's share. The wallet that launches a satellite is assigned 20% of that satellite's creator fees.
- The minter's share. The wallet that minted a planet is assigned 15% of that planet coin's creator fees and 5% of the creator fees of each satellite launched in orbit of that planet afterwards.
- These shares are paid on chain to the assigned wallet, by pump.fun's fee sharing, when a coin's fees are distributed. They exist only while the coin is traded. We promise no amount, and we cannot redirect a share to another wallet if you lose access to yours.
- The buyback shares go to wallets we operate, intended to buy back and burn a planet's coin or SUNCOIN. Buybacks are not switched on. Nothing has been bought back or burned from those wallets, and we make no promise about when or how that will happen.
- The holders' share goes to a wallet we operate for that coin, from which the hourly rewards below are paid.
- The platform share goes to PlanetPad.
- The Sunlight share goes to the Sunlight pool (section 8).
A split is permanent once locked. The shares are set through pump.fun's fee sharing right after the launch and cannot then be changed by you, by us or by anyone, including the wallets they point to. The shares may be different for coins launched later; a coin keeps the split it launched with. Fees are in SPCX. Fees from a trade that lands between a launch and the setting of its split are not passed along the split.
SUNCOIN does not exist yet. SUNCOIN, the platform coin, has not been launched; it does not trade and has no price. On the map the Sun stands for SUNCOIN. We make no promise that SUNCOIN will be launched, when, on what terms, or that it or any planet coin will have any value. [OPERATOR: SUNCOIN launch terms, once decided]
Hourly rewards. About once an hour we run a process that shares the SPCX held in a coin's rewards wallet among that coin's eligible holders, in proportion to the coins each holds at that moment. It covers satellites, planet coins and, once SUNCOIN exists, SUNCOIN.
- Rewards are discretionary platform operations. We run them as a feature of the site. They are not a debt we owe you, not interest, not a dividend and not a return on an investment.
- No amount and no schedule is guaranteed. What is paid depends on trading in the coin, on how many coins you hold and on the rules below. It can be zero. An hourly run can be late, skipped or incomplete.
- Rewards may be paused or changed. We may pause, delay, change or stop the process, and change its rules, at any time and without notice.
- Eligibility thresholds apply. A holder must hold at least a minimum number of the coin at the moment of the snapshot (currently 10,000 coins). A share below a minimum amount (currently 0.0001 SPCX) is not sent. A rewards wallet holding less than a minimum (currently 0.05 SPCX) is not paid that hour and is carried over. The number of holders paid for one coin in one hour is capped (currently 2,000, largest first). Accounts owned by programs, such as a bonding curve, a liquidity pool or a vault, burn addresses and our own wallets are not paid. If the complete list of holders cannot be read, nobody is paid that hour. These figures may change.
- Rewards depend on SPCX. They are paid in SPCX, a token its issuer can freeze, pause, move or burn (section 10). If SPCX is frozen or paused, rewards and fee shares cannot be sent or received. Receiving SPCX is subject to the issuer's terms and eligibility rules.
- Rewards are sent to the holding wallet. You do not claim them. We cannot redirect or recover a reward sent to a wallet you no longer control.
- Until it is sent, it is not yours. Amounts shown on the site, including amounts labelled Preview, are calculations. They create no entitlement. Fees that have not been paid out sit in wallets we operate, and you have no claim on them.
- Preview. Payouts are not switched on yet on this site: amounts shown as Preview are computed, not sent.
Do not launch, mint, buy or hold a coin in the expectation of receiving any fee share, reward, Sunlight, buyback, burn or other payment. You alone are responsible for any tax on what you receive.
The transaction you sign shows what it will do. Read it before you approve.
10The SPCX pairing
Every satellite is launched as a pump.fun coin whose bonding curve is quoted in SPCX: the curve holds SPCX, and every buy and sell trades against SPCX. "SPCX" means the token "SpaceX - Backpack Securities", mint SPCXxcqXj6e5dJDVNovHN8744zkbhM2bYudU45BimGb on Solana, a tokenized stock issued by Backpack Securities.
PlanetPad is not the issuer of SPCX and has no relationship with Backpack Securities or SpaceX. We do not issue, redeem, back or control SPCX, and we make no statement about what it represents or what rights it carries. Those are matters between you and its issuer.
- The issuer controls SPCX. The SPCX token gives its issuer the power to freeze an individual SPCX account, to pause all SPCX transfers, and to move or burn SPCX balances. We cannot prevent, reverse or compensate any use of those powers.
- If SPCX is frozen or paused, paired coins cannot be traded. While SPCX is paused, or the relevant account is frozen, a coin paired with SPCX cannot be bought or sold. This can last for any length of time, and it applies to the SPCX held inside a coin's bonding curve or pool as well as to your own.
- The issuer's terms apply to you. Holding or receiving SPCX, including as the proceeds of a sale or as an hourly reward, is subject to the issuer's own terms and eligibility rules. Check the issuer's terms before you trade. You alone are responsible for being allowed to hold SPCX where you are.
- Prices follow SPCX. A paired coin is priced in SPCX. Its value in dollars or SOL changes when the price of SPCX changes, whatever happens to the coin itself. Dollar figures on the site are derived from an SPCX price that can be late or wrong.
- Trading with SOL takes two transactions. A buy paid in SOL first swaps your SOL to SPCX, then buys the coin. A sale for SOL first sells the coin for SPCX, then swaps that SPCX to SOL. You approve both. If the second transaction fails or is not sent, you are left holding the SPCX from the first, and getting out of it is up to you.
- A coin is not a share. A coin launched here, and any fee paid on it, is not a share in SpaceX, in Backpack Securities or in any company, and gives you no rights against any of them.
We show one of two badges, and each coin shows its own, read from its bonding curve:
- Paired with SPCX. The coin's bonding curve is quoted in SPCX.
- SOL pair. The coin's bonding curve is quoted in SOL. This applies to new launches only if pump.fun stops accepting SPCX as a quote asset.
A coin keeps the pair it launched with. pump.fun pairings are final. Whether SPCX stays available as a pair depends on pump.fun and on the issuer, and is not something we can promise.
11Demo data
Our development site can show demonstration data. Demo coins, prices, volumes, standings, wallets, burn totals, Sunlight and reward previews are fictional samples: they do not exist on chain and cannot be traded.
12Third parties
PlanetPad depends on services we do not control, including pump.fun, the Solana network and its validators, the Phantom wallet, the Jupiter swap service, Backpack Securities as the issuer of SPCX, RPC providers, and the TradingView charting library. They have their own terms. They can change, fail, charge fees, restrict access or shut down, and that can stop PlanetPad from working. We are not responsible for them.
13Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- wash trade, self-trade, split activity across wallets or otherwise fake volume or holders to game scores, levels or standings;
- manipulate markets or deceive other users about a coin;
- impersonate another person, project or organisation, or suggest an endorsement that does not exist;
- put illegal, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit or deceptive content in a coin's name, ticker, image or description;
- attack, overload, scrape at abusive rates, probe or interfere with the service, or get around rate limits and access controls;
- use the service to launder money, evade sanctions or break any law.
14Hiding coins
We may hide a coin, its picture, its link to a body or any content from our interface, exclude a coin from standings, and block a wallet or address from the site, at our discretion and without notice. We cannot remove a coin from the blockchain or from pump.fun, stop it trading, or change its metadata.
15Our content
The PlanetPad name, logo, site design, software and generated art belong to us or our licensors. Apart from the coin art licence in section 6, you get only a personal, revocable permission to use the site as offered. Astronomical facts and names come from public catalogs and are not ours to grant.
16No warranty
PlanetPad is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, or that any data shown is correct or current.
17Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, PlanetPad and its operators, staff and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for lost profits, lost tokens, lost data or trading losses, arising from your use of the site, any coin, any third party service or any blockchain transaction.
Our total liability for any claim connected to PlanetPad is limited to [OPERATOR: liability cap]. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
18Indemnity
You agree to cover PlanetPad and its operators, staff and contractors against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your breach of these terms, your coins and their content, or your breach of any law or of someone else's rights.
19Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date and version at the top will change, and you may be asked to accept the new version before you can sign in. If you keep using PlanetPad after a change, you accept the updated terms.
20Termination
You can stop using PlanetPad at any time. We may suspend or end your access, or shut down all or part of the site, at any time and for any reason. Ending access does not affect coins or transactions that already exist on chain. Sections that by their nature should survive (risk, no warranty, liability, indemnity, governing law) continue to apply.
21Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [OPERATOR: jurisdiction / governing law]. Disputes will be resolved by [OPERATOR: dispute resolution venue]. [OPERATOR: arbitration and class action waiver wording, if any]
If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about PlanetPad.
